Imagine what would happened if these ancient giants were to come out the streets of a modern city.Looking like sinister tanks,Mighty cranes and enormous gliders,these fabled monsters would stop traffic in the city,turn buses upside down,tear electric wires and trample all the parks.Actually,of course,this would never happen because the ancient animals died out millions of years ago,and we know about them only from the "CHRONICLE IN ROCK"

The folk tales of different nations are filled with wondrous creatures:terrible flying dragons,sea serpents,giant birds which can carry away an elephant like a kitten.Such monsters are not to be found in our forests,nor in distant lands or deep seas.Then,should we believe folk tales?Scientists say that we should.They know that creatures similar to the ones in folk tales lived on earth,only very long ago,when man did not exist yet.
